FAQ’s
Do you have a restaurant?
For Dinner, Bed & Breakfast bookings we partner with Smoking Lobster and Stripped, lovely restaurants within a two minute walk of the hotel. We have a package available for every day of the week.
On Friday night we offer a supper-club style Wine Room Dinner. Each week four spaces are saved for non-residents with 12 available for those staying in our rooms.
Cheese, toasties & charcuterie are always available for our residents from 12-7pm.
When do you serve wine & snacks for non-residents?
Yes, we are a wine bar from 12-5pm daily, just please let us know you’re coming so we can ensure someone is around. If you love wine we would love to welcome you for drinks, cheese & charcuterie.
Do you allow dogs?
Yes. Dogs can stay in our annex bedroom & spend time in our glass pergola. Please enter through the pergola with your four-legged friends rather than through the main house.
Do you allow children?
Yes. Our annex bedroom has an extra futon bed and you are welcome to bring a cot. All rooms in the main house are adults only. Well-behaved children are welcome in our glass pergola but we do not have high chairs or food specifically for children.
Do you sell wine to non-residents?
Yes, we are very much a shop! You can pop in any time from 10-7pm to buy wine or you can browse our wine list and order via bookings@theterraceventnor.co.uk for free Island-wide delivery of six bottles or more.
Do you have any twin rooms?
All our bedrooms have superking beds that cannot be split, however, our annex room does have a single futon bed which can be made up for a child.
Do you have parking?
We have a parking space for every room. On the day of check in we will place a sign in one of our spaces showing the name of your booking. If you are not staying with us please do not use our car park without letting us know.
Do you offer wine tastings?
Yes, details can be found here. We no longer offer our daily residents’ tasting to non-residents but if you are a friend of the property, work in Isle of Wight Hospitality or want to become a regular wine customer, we’d love to welcome you.
Do you offer ferry travel?
We can provide access to discounted ferry rates. Details of our booking agent will be sent in a confirmation email upon booking.
Do you allow non-residents?
Absolutely - we are a shop and bar. Just let us know you’re coming by emailing bookings@theterraceventnor.co.uk
Do you have a phone number?
We do but when we put it on this website we are inundated with calls we cannot realistically field. You’ll get an instant reply by email! bookings@theterraceventnor.co.uk
Do you serve any food?
We serve toasties, cheeses, charcuterie, olives & nuts for residents and to accompany wine in our bar and pergola.
Are you open for dinner?
Our wine room dinners run on Fridays. We have up to 14 seats available around a single table for a no-choice set menu where everyone eats at the same time. We have four seats free each night for non-residents.
Can you cater for private groups and events?
We are very happy to discuss any events for up to 20 guests taking five+ rooms. We have a great relationship with The Hambrough right behind us so can organise extra bedrooms as required.
